A cannon ball is shot upward from the upper deck of a fort with an initial velocity of 192 feet per second. The deck is 32 feet above the ground.
1st step in doing this I had to make a quadratic formula based on the information that was given. Quadratic formula: -16t^2+192t+32
2nd step in doing this I had to find the vertex by using this formula: -b/2a and i got this -192/-2(-16) and got 6 as the answer. 6 represents how long the cannonball was in the air?
3rd step in doing this I had to take the vetex which was 6 and replace the ts by the 6 and work it out. The answer was 608feet wich was how high the cannon went.
